Tree-Incarnation

Large bowlTreeIncarnation is woodturning collaboration between Ken Smith and Billy Currie (father and son-in-law), both of whom are keen wood turners and are passionate about transforming one of nature's most beautiful creations into stunning one off ornamental and functional items.

The vast majority of wood used by treeIncarnation comes from Scotland and in most cases will show the exact location on the label. No trees are ever felled just to turn but are sourced in various other ways including wind blown, picked up from the side of the road, found on the beach or bought from local suppliers who only source wood from sustainable sources.

TreeIncarnation seemed the perfect name for the website as it is often the oldest, most rotten looking lump of wood which is transformed on the lathe to produce the most breathtaking pieces.

The picture on the left is of a wind blown tree lying in Cumbernauld and
the picture to its right is just one of the beautiful pieces created from it.

We feel that this website should not only be an outlet where people can purchase these
outstanding pieces but more importantly, a means of displaying the individual characteristics
and amazing beauty of our local wood. The bowls, vases and other pieces created from it are all one off originals.

If you are iterested in purchasing/viewing any of these or if you would like to discuss a bespoke project to meet your individual requirements, then please feel free to use the "Contact Us" page to get in touch. We would also welcome any feedback.

Tree-Incarnation will be attending craft fairs in and around Scotland where stock will be on display and available to buy. Details of craft fairs being attended can be found in the "Contact Us" page.

Customer Feedback -
Dear Billy,

I received the bowl yesterday (Saturday) and cannot say how pleased i am
with it. It's wonderfully crafted and the colours and finish are fantastic.

Also thanks for the pen, that too is very kind of you to include.

My brother was over the moon with the bowl and it's currently taking pride
of place on his coffee table in his front room.

Thanks again for all your help and offering to turn a bowl for me, it's very
much appreciated.

Now my mum and dad want one for Christmas and i'll definately be
recommending you in the future to friends and family.

Many thanks again and take care,
Stephen
